File Napper is a file sharing program built to last. Eventually a day may come where the government may declare file-sharing illegal. The peer to peer servers which service these abilities can easily found and brought down. File Napper was built to function without a file sharing server. It obviously needs a single place to meet other users, so it connects to public chat rooms, in search of other users. It then uses the chat server to search each other for files, and send messages. Also, if you get booted or banned from a chat server you should still have a connection to the network, because File Napper uses multiple chat connections, to multiple servers. But event thought this program can survive without a file sharing server, server software is under construction for File Napper. This software named, I-Hub, connects to a chat server, and acts like a regular user (like File Napper does). It then takes a message given to it, and may route it to another user , a different chat server, another I-Hub, (etc). This I-Hub also, connects to multiple chat servers, and can takes messages you want to send to that server and send the message for you, (just in case you got banned from that chat service). The I-Hub will also note the files of which each user has into a database, for search methods. Also, anyone can download this software (once it comes out), and set it up on any computer (most likely to be set up on a public computer). |
